Housing and Renovations
This coming year there are 20 new homes to be built on Paul First Nation to meet the demand for new housing. Currently there are 220 houses on Paul First Nation with 1100 PFN members occupying them, making the average household 3 adults and 5 children. With this many occupants the septic tanks are overworked and overloaded. Since 1996 there have been only 4 new homes built on Paul First Nation
Our Housing Department will be researching options to improve the services and delivery of efficient housing and management. Over the years, we have experienced problems in completing units in due time, and efforts are being made to rectify this. Our challenge is to provide energy efficient housing in accordance to applicable standards, within the budget constraints imposed by housing allocations.
