Spiritual and Cultural Enrichment:

Goals: Youth will connect with members within the community, such as other youth, middle aged adults as well as Elders.

The goal is to gain cultural and spiritual enrichment in the following:

Community History

Language(s): Stoney and/or Cree

Philosophies

Prophecies

School retention

Activities that will encourage the use of the Stoney language within the community and amongst our youth will be implemented throught the year. These activities will be organized by our youth committee with supervision by the CSDI staff mainly used for guidance.

February 19 2007 will be our FAMILY DAY SCAVENGER HUNT. On this scavenger hunt, we will provide each contestant with a list of STONEY words to gather each object. The contestant must properly gather each item on the list as well as deliver the items along with pronouncing the Stoney word for each item properly in order to win top prizes in the hunt! Looks like a great time!
